What is Gamers Unite! coins?

The idea emerged as an incentive for Gamers Unite! members to write good quality posts. But if you are not a writer, that is rather hard, so we also added ways to earn coins for free by doing offers and surveys, or simply shopping at the affiliated stores, or writing good posts/comments on the forum. GU! coins can then be redeemed to Facebook credits (except for coins earned by offers and surveys, see chart below) or Zynga Game Cards so you can use it for your favorite game, donated to charities to continue your missing to help others, or redeemed to Gamers Unite! goods. We will be adding more ways to earn GU! coins and more things that it can be redeemed to, so stay tuned!

Why are their two numbers, the total coins and the number below that says 'x redeemable to FB credit'?

Facebook decided that coins earned by doing offers and surveys (offers are discontinued on Gamers Unite!) are NOT redeemable to Facebook credits, so we show your Facebook Credit redeemable coins separately which is Your total GU! coins - GU! coins earned by offers and surveys.

GU! Coins Expiration

• Coins accrued in a member's account shall be maintained in the account until it is redeemed for an award or until it expires, whichever occurs first.
• Coins accrued shall only be subject to expiration on the last day of the twelve (12) months after the last account earning activity in the member’s account. In cases where coins is for any reason removed from an account, as for the redemption of awards or donations or shopping returns shall not count as account activity.

What is Zynga Game Cards?

Use Zynga Game Cards for in-game currency to buy the items you want. Zynga Game Cards can be used in the following games: FarmVille, CastleVille, Hidden Chronicles, Slingo, Mafia Wars, Pioneer Trail, Treasure Isle, Adventure World, PetVille, Café World, Cityville and YoVille. Learn more here.

How do I redeem GU! coins to Zynga Game Cards?

Once you have enough GU! coins accrued, you can select from $1, $2, $5, $10, and $25 Zynga Game Cards to exchange from on the redeem page. A popup will show up with the the Zynga Game Card Code. You can also acees the code on your accounts page. After that, do the following steps:

1. Log into Facebook to connect to your favorite Zynga game (Zynga game cards can be used in: FarmVille, CastleVille, Hidden Chronicles, Slingo, Mafia Wars, Pioneer Trail, Treasure Isle, Adventure World, PetVille, Café World, Cityville and YoVille.)
2. Click on the 'Game Cards' tab on the top nav. If there isn't one, click where to get in-game currency and you should see a message "Have a gift card? Click Here to redeem it". (the game links above should take you there too)
3. Enter your unique Zynga PIN Code, displayed in the popup.

When I tried to enter the PIN code inside Zynga games, it says "Session Expired"

Most of the time, session expires because you idled after loading the game, or you opened another game in between. Refreshing the page and reloading the game should solve the problem.

What happens if somebody steals my Game Code that I redeemed using GU! coins?

The risk of loss and title for electronic game cards will pass to the purchaser upon electronic transmission to the purchaser or recipient, whichever is applicable. Coolchaser is not responsible if an electronic game card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without your permission.

Facebook Credits are a virtual currency you can use to buy virtual goods in many games and applications on the Facebook platform including Farmville, Frontierville, Social City and more! Learn more here.

How do I redeem GU! coins to Facebook Credits?

Once you have enough GU! coins accrued, you can select from 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 Facebook Credits to exchange from on the redeem page. The current conversion rate is 100 GU! coins = 10 Facebook credits (as of 10.21.10).

I redeemed GU! coins to Facebook Credits, where do I check my Facebook Credit Balance?

You can check your Facebook Credit Balance here. If you haven't received Facebook credits even checking this page, please contact us.

How do I convert Facebook Credits to Farmville Farm Cash, Frontierville Horseshoes, etc?

Just go to the page to purchase more Farm Cash, Horseshoe, or whatever currency the game uses FROM Facebook (you can't do this on Farmville.com or sites that skips Facebook) and you will automatically be prompted to use Facebook Credits.

When I try to redeem to Facebook Credits, it says that "Oops, not enough Facebook redeemable coins!"

Facebook does not allow coins earned by offers and surveys to be redeemed to Facebook Credits (more on this here). If you play Zynga games, you should redeem it to Zynga Codes instead. Or, you can earn coins via the Snag Bar by shopping or writing good posts which are redeemable to Facebook Credits.

Earning coins by Shopping

How do I earn GU! coins by shopping at my favorite stores?

In order to earn this way, you need to have our Snag Bar installed. Once you have it installed, buy the stuff you were already going to buy - birthday presents, iPhone, flight to Cancun, whatever! When you do it by clicking on the links in the shopping mall page or using the toolbar, we'll track it for you and reward you with Gamers Unite! Coins! So Shop and then Do Nothing! Easy.

I shopped using the toolbar but didn't get GU! coins.

Shopping transactions usually takes 1-2 weeks to get posted on the accounts page, but can take up to 6 weeks. If you waited and still don't see your transaction there, please contact support@freecause.com and send your invoice and mention that you are a Gamers Unite! member. You'll get a response within 48 hours.

We then award GU! coins 45 days after the shopping post date (sorry, it takes up to 75 days for us to get paid).

Earning coins by Writing

How do I earn GU! coins by writing good quality posts?

Every week, we'll go through the most popular posts that had the highest page views and the most FB likes over the last two weeks. We'll handpick the top 5-10 posts and award each posters with 200 GU! coins. We post the winner on our homepage every Friday or Saturday.

Reposting contents from other blogs and sites are not considered a candidate. But if it's rewritten in your own words or if you just use excerpts from the original with your own comments or tips added, that's of course, considered eligible. We are basically looking for posts that have passion and soul.

We also award members who left useful and helpful replies. Members can nominate other members too! Feel free to post your comment on the latest top posters thread to nominate.

How do I donate to charities?

Simply choose the charity that you would like to donate. This will unlock the Angel badge and your name will appear on the list of donors to the organization. For every 1000 GU! coins, we will match by donating another 1000 GU! coins from our own pocket.

How do I redeem GU! coins to Gamers Unite! goods?

Choose the item that you would like to redeem your coins into. You will be prompted to enter your shipping address and the item will be shipped to you within 90 days.
